Hey! We’ve got a working version of
Chrome OS you can download for free!

Just create a gdgt account (or login if you already have one) and visit this page.

Get Chrome OS for free from our super-fast content network!

You’ll need VMware Player (or VMware Fusion for Macs) to get it running. VirtualBox can also use VMware VMDK images, but it isn’t always perfect.

People who use virtual machine should formilier with Parallels or VM Fusion, these two are very good software allow user install another OS on the computer and boot at the same time, but one thing is very important to most of users is they are expansive.
But now comes VirtualBox from SUN, support most of the OS(Win,MAC, Linux Solaris…) and it’s freeeee.

Search engines, there are tons of them out there. google, bing, yahoo, baidu… if you need find something, there you go, you got it.
But if you are looking for some discussions, people who care about a thing and real talk about it not random twitte, words come out from anyone, you need forums.I guess forums are meant that and that is the purpose of forums.
Along with web 2.0, blogs, twitter, mostly time goes, people may have been forget forums and don’t really pay attention of it anymore.
Once you need to know how to solve a specific question or problem, forum alway gives the most significant out comes, because people reply and reply on replies.

There is a new stack style added in Snow Leopard but it was turned off by default.

Let me show you how it looks first, these two shot I found from the internet, it’s in Chinese but you can see the trick.

So those are the old stack list and the new one.

Here is how to turn it on.

1. open terminal which you can find in Applications->Utilities

2. type in “defaults write com.apple.dock use-new-list-stack -bool YES” without the quotation marks(” “).

Hit the enter.

3. type in ” killall Dock”  Hit the enter again.

Then you’re done.

Enjoying!

Snow Leopard Has been out for a week or so and today I happen to pick up one at Sainte-Catherine Apple store in downtown Montreal. It only cost for $35+ Tax, the price is pretty good.

After spend a bit time get it installed, the first thing I realize is that I have more space then before. It probably empty almost 7G of my hard drive. I like it very much.

One of the huge update mentioned in keynote last is Exposé. I feel difference when I click the download folder on the dock, but I didn’t feel that much better for me it’s just a bit different – bigger icon and added scroll up/down maybe I didn’t exposé it deeply yet (I only spend 20 mins to check snow leopard out).

One of the new feature/software I like the most within 10 mins is the new quicktime player. It have a brand new feature that screen recording. Very neat. ( well, I haven’t figure out where is the preference yet and how to record my second screen – apparently I have to screens, it only record the main screen)

All the software I have installed on my Mac seems all compatible with snow leopard, so there is no issues for me that is good.

I didn’t really feel much faster as keynote mentioned it should, but hey My 250G hard drive are only have 24G free space left (much better then leopard). Think about if you have a new window update, those blue system folders gonna use up all the space.

Snow Leopard 40 bucks after all is not too bad, you should go pick up your copy.
