LotsaWater

This screensaver renders a fairly realistic water effect over your desktop, showing it distorted through the wavy surface of the water as raindrops fall on the surface.

You can download it here and it’s free.

RedPill

It’s a matrix kind of like screen saver, it’s very cool though. I don’t really have a photoshot of it.

Just do download it and try it out, it’s free.

There is a new stack style added in Snow Leopard but it was turned off by default.

Let me show you how it looks first, these two shot I found from the internet, it’s in Chinese but you can see the trick.

So those are the old stack list and the new one.

Here is how to turn it on.

1. open terminal which you can find in Applications->Utilities

2. type in “defaults write com.apple.dock use-new-list-stack -bool YES” without the quotation marks(” “).

Hit the enter.

3. type in ” killall Dock”  Hit the enter again.

Then you’re done.

Enjoying!

Snow Leopard Has been out for a week or so and today I happen to pick up one at Sainte-Catherine Apple store in downtown Montreal. It only cost for $35+ Tax, the price is pretty good.

After spend a bit time get it installed, the first thing I realize is that I have more space then before. It probably empty almost 7G of my hard drive. I like it very much.

One of the huge update mentioned in keynote last is Exposé. I feel difference when I click the download folder on the dock, but I didn’t feel that much better for me it’s just a bit different – bigger icon and added scroll up/down maybe I didn’t exposé it deeply yet (I only spend 20 mins to check snow leopard out).

One of the new feature/software I like the most within 10 mins is the new quicktime player. It have a brand new feature that screen recording. Very neat. ( well, I haven’t figure out where is the preference yet and how to record my second screen – apparently I have to screens, it only record the main screen)

All the software I have installed on my Mac seems all compatible with snow leopard, so there is no issues for me that is good.

I didn’t really feel much faster as keynote mentioned it should, but hey My 250G hard drive are only have 24G free space left (much better then leopard). Think about if you have a new window update, those blue system folders gonna use up all the space.

Snow Leopard 40 bucks after all is not too bad, you should go pick up your copy.
