I like the weather widget and i use it all the time, but every time i have to press the mid button (F12 old keyboard, F4 new keyboard).
There is a way you can just leave it on the desktop, very convenient.
So let’s do it – very easy in 3 steps.
1. open the terminal (you should know how already if you don’t check it out here)
2. type in
defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES
killall Dock
3. press F4/F12 on your keyboard, hold and drag your favourite widget while press F4/F12.
Done.
